Paluxy River - view from Barnard Mill

Barnard Mill & Museum

It’s been 4 years since we’ve had a  paint out in Glen  Rose, Texas, and  that’s  way too  long! With its  beautiful scenery,  rolling hills and rivers,  and natural springs,  it’s time we treat  ourselves again to this charming community. There’s lots of painting candy – the Historic Courthouse Square, Big Rocks, (we’re talkin’ BIG rocks!) Paluxy River, Barnard’s Mill, and lots more tucked away in this small, casual Texas town. Plus as an added bonus, we have one of our OPS members, Dina Gregory, invite us to paint one morning on her 100 acre ranch.

Dina says, Our front pond is beautiful with lots of reflections. Other things to paint: Shaded entry, long shots of distant small mountains, rock well house, red out building, log home, lots of beautiful cactus with tall grasses and oaks, mesquite trees, white caliche road. the farmer across the road has some cool large green equipment, seen from our property, Bluebonnets (maybe if they bloom early), & lots of other wild flowers on property."

This area always beckons to painters and this is going to be one great weekend to produce that masterpiece!  Put this paint out on your calendar & register today.
