PAINT OUT - February 2017
Galveston Island and Bolivar Peninsula
Texas Gulf Coast
February 9 - 11, 2017
Picture this….sandy beaches, bay, marshes, sand dunes,
light house, sea shells, shrimp boats, inter-coastal canal, bird rookery, and buildings with character. Artists, do we have your attention? If so youʼll want to join OPS on our February paint out in Galveston and Bolivar Peninsula. The ferry ride between the island and peninsula is entertaining with watching dolphins play and shrimp boats come and go. Lots to do in Galveston.
The Elissa, a fully restored masted cargo sailing ship is docked there on the ship channel just down from huge cruise ships. The downtown historical district, art galleries, Victorian homes, shrimp boats are waiting for us. There is Seawolf park with a submarine and destroyer. Ship building yards as well as jack up offshore oil rigs along the ship channel.
Phew! There's a lot of painting to do. Come join us.
