If you're not familiar with the term” hidden jewel”, then you are about to find out when you attend this OPS March paint out. San Angelo, Texas is definitely a West Texas hidden jewel. There is a lifetime of paintings waiting for you - discover the charm and history of Fort Concho built in 1867, the historic Orient & Santa Fe Railroad Depot, the Concho River that runs throughout the city with gardens and parks, the International Water Lily Gardens, the Sculpture Garden Park along the Concho river, the unique San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts, the beautiful historic homes in the Santa Rita neighborhood built during the oil boom in the 1920’s , and let’s not forget the historic downtown buildings like the Cactus Hotel -a Hilton original, M.L. Leddy’s boot makers, and wonderful church structures.

And we haven’t even mentioned a day at a private West Texas ranch with more than you can expect, miles of vistas, cactus, mesquite and live oak, cattle, goats, back country roads with low water crossings.

All of this wrapped up in a welcoming art community, topped off with gracious West Texas hospitality!
